Sue's heart would swell every time she heard the priest pray the words, "fount of all holiness..." during the Mass. This poetic title for our Lord was her inspiration for this song. While meditating on the image of God as a "fount of all holiness", the image of The Divine Mercy came instantly to mind, and this song was born. |

Sue went through a period of time of waking up in the middle of the night with Mary's Magnificat (Luke 1:46-49) on her heart. After several nights of this happening, she got this distinct feeling that God was actually waking her up to praise Him. The prayer of Our Blessed Mother then became the chorus to Full Of Grace. |

During Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at a youth conference, the chorus was sung, 'let it rain, let it rain, open the floodgates of heaven...(Michael W. Smith)'. Sue then received the most amazing internal imagery of an enormous "gate of heaven" being forced open by a continuous outpouring of angels and saints. She could see these celestial friends swirling around each person in the stadium and wrote this song as soon as she got home. |
